MoARD Celebrates its 100th Years and the Ethiopian Millennium (2000)

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD) celebrates its 100th years of service and the Ethiopian Millennium (2000). The celebration is supported by a three days exhibition (2 – 4 May 2008) of the works of all institutions under the Ministry. The Deputy Prime Minister of Ethiopia and the Minister of MoARD, His Excellency Mr. Addissu Legesse, officially opened the exhibition today, 02 May 2008 at the Exhibition Center, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The Institute of Biodiversity Conservation is one of the institutions under the Ministry and it is participating on the celebration’s Exhibition by presenting its 30 years of outstanding work on Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Utilization. Photographs, Motion pictures, Seed samples and Prints are part of the show. It is remembered that IBC has been awarded the Sultan Qoboos Environmental Preservation Prize for its outstanding work on Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Utilization for the past 30 years.
